She has 24k Instagram followers, has trained with some of the biggest names in CrossFit, has strict muscle-ups, handstand walks, a nearly double bodyweight deadlift - and she has to wait 5 years before she is even eligible to compete in the CrossFit Games. I'm talking about CrossFit prodigy Brooklynn "Queen Beezy" Sittner.
I was excited to start receiving text messages late Sunday night and into Monday morning from athletes and friends, letting me know Brooklynn and her dad were going to be in Cheyenne on their way to Denver on Monday night. Her dad, Cory, hit up the wild/STRONG Facebook page and set up a training session with us at CrossFit Frontier.
By the time I got there, Brooklynn was already up to about 90% on her snatch (after spending all day in truck driving from their home in Billings, MT). We took a break and I hooked her up with some wild/STRONG swag and her dad gave my girlfriend and me some sick "Queen Beezy" shirts as well. Then it was time to get to work. After snatching up to 24kg - Brooklynn tackled the WOD at Frontier - "DT" - 5 rounds of 12 Deadlifts, 9 Hang Cleans and 6 Jerks.
Because she was already a full round and a half ahead of her dad and me - much to the delight of all the athletes at Frontier watching, she turned it up and performed "Double DT" - 10 rounds. She literally made the decision (with a little prodding from dad) in the middle of the workout - 5 rounds in and she decided to go double. It was fun to watch and we hope you enjoy watching as well.
